.john claims to jake, we're due for a shark attack.(that was like 2 months ago)

.i write a blog about sharks and their hunting styles (in brief)

.myself and a bunch of buddies go see Slayer.

.jesse hits up scotty in lompoc to see if we should meet up in the morning(the evening of the 21st)

.scotty doesn't reply.

.jesse, myself, and mike leave oxnard at 5am friday oct 22nd.

.scotty still doesn't reply with a surf report for surf beach.

.6;30 am. decide to go left instead of straight on jalama road.(12 miles away from surf beach)

.715ish. paddle out at the crack (jeese says in his mind "this feels sharky")(does not voice this til later).

.i have never seen such a beautiful morning north of point conception.

.915ish AM, exit the water in route for surf beach.

. still no reply from scotty, bypass surf beach and go to guadalupe beach.

.11ish AM, receive a text. " fatal shark attack at surf beach" as jesse is about to jump in the water.

.12PM. i receive a text message from john.(who told jake were due for an attack)

.text read. "scotty pulled the kid out of the water"

my heart goes out to that kids family.
